Taste of Bristol campaign to help local restaurants amid COVID-19

The West End Association is rolling out their annual city-wide campaign to promote local restaurants amid the economic downturn of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The “Taste of Bristol” initiative launches this summer with a mission to promote eating locally and supporting Bristol businesses.

Instead of their normal time frame of March and April, the 2021 promotion will be valid during June and July.

David Hamelin President of The West End Association is asking residents to help local businesses survive the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This later time-frame will give our local restaurants more time to recover from the challenges they have faced this past year. With the lifting of state restrictions and the increase in people getting vaccinated, the restaurants are seeing progress and expect to be fully open by summer.”

Tickets are now available for purchase through West End Association members and local businesses including South Side Meat Market, Hamelin Auto, Parkside Café, Jimmy’s on the River, Café Real, Greer’s Chicken and Beacon Pharmacy.

You can check the West End Association website for additional selling locations and a list of participating restaurants.
