Stop & Shop Location to Close

The Meriden Stop & Shop has announced that it will close permanently at 6 p.m. Nov. 12, The Record-Journal reported. Stop & Shop said that the store would close due to poor sales and a lack of traffic.

The Stop & Shop at 485 Broad St. will remain open.

City officials are hoping the another supermarket moves in to the plaza after renovations are made, according to The Record-Journal.
