Uncle Sam wants you to participate in the 2020 Census … and not just as a citizen who fills out the form.
The Census Bureau is hiring up to 500,000 temporary, part-time census takers for the 2020 Census in communities across the country.
A representative from Census 2020 will be at the Terryville Public Library from 3pm – 6pm on Thursday, February 27, 2020 to share information about open census positions and to assist filling out an application.
While this is temporary work, the salary is competitive at $25./hr for some jobs.
The Census, conducted every ten years, is critical for determining representation in Congress and the allocation of billions of dollars in federal funds
Anyone age 18 and older, such as recent high school graduates, college students, veterans, retirees, military spouses, seasonal workers and people who are bilingual are highly encouraged to apply.
People who already have jobs and want to earn extra income evenings and weekends are also encouraged to apply.
