Burlington Reminds Resident to Pay Their Taxes

According to Allison Tharau Collector of Taxes, you need to pay your taxes.

Tharau says “Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Town of Burlington that the second installment of taxes for Real Estate, Personal Property and Supplemental Motor Vehicle on the October 1, 2017 Grand List is due and payable on the 1st day of January, 2019.

If taxes are not paid or postmarked on or before February 1, 2019 such taxes will be considered delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1½% per month or a fraction thereof from the due date. Minimum interest is $2.00.”

Taxes are payable by mail or at the Town of Burlington-Tax Office, 200 Spielman Hwy., Burlington or online at www.burlingtonct.us (fees apply).

The office is open Monday thru Thursday, 8:00 to 4:00 and Friday 8:00 to 12:30. The office will be closed on Tuesday, January 1, 2019.
