City Assessor Elected President-Elect of the CT Association of Assessing Officials
Thomas DeNoto, the City’s Assessor was recently named President-Elect of the Connecticut Association of Assessing Officers.
DeNoto, a lifelong Bristol resident, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Eastern Connecticut State University, graduating Class of 1988. He received his State of Connecticut appraiser certification in 1993 and Connecticut Certified Municipal Assessor II certification in 2003. Tom has been with the City of Bristol for 10 years.
“It is a credit to Tom and reflects well on Bristol that he is well regarded by his colleagues and will be representing his profession and our City in this capacity,” stated Mayor Ellen Zoppo- Sassu.
“We have a phenomenal Assessor’s Office staff and I am eager to see what type of future enhancements and best practices Tom will bring back to Bristol,” stated Councilwoman Mary Fortier D-3.
The CAAO is a professional organization comprised of over 400 regular and subscribing members. The mission of CAAO is to improve standards of assessment practices within the State of Connecticut. The CAAO is celebrating its 85h Anniversary this year.
