Work is progressing at the corner of Riverside Ave. and Main Street.
Bristol Hospital is in the process of constructing a 60,000 square foot two-story building that will house an Ambulatory Care Center.
The building is expected to employ dozens of medical professionals while servicing thousands of patients downtown.
Developer Rendina Healthcare Real Estate plans to develop a high-quality project transforming downtown Bristol and the former mall site.

According to Rendina, they have developed more than 7.25 million square feet of healthcare facilities, working with hospitals and developing projects for healthcare systems throughout the United States.
Brian Cich, chief operating officer of Rendina Healthcare Real Estate told the Hartford Courant “There’s some skin on the building. Now it’s all about weather — we’re racing winter, trying to beat the snow flying,” Cich told a meeting of hospital executives, medical staff and local political leaders Tuesday morning.
The Bristol Press reported: Construction crews are in a race against the calendar to get the facility “locked in” so they can work inside during the winter, said Brian Cich, of Florida-based Rendina Healthcare Real Estate, the developer of the project.
“Now it’s all about winter,” Cich said.
“We’re trying to beat the snow flying.”
“You’re going to start to see the skin on the building,” Cich said of the coming weeks and months.
The City has also completed a new road to divide the remaining former mall site into smaller lots.
The road construction was under the supervision of the City of Bristol Department of Public Works, Engineering Division and designed by Milone & MacBroom.
The new road is about 1,000 feet long and has streetscape components including trees, brick pavers, a center median made of “stamped asphalt,” decorative lights, landscaping, granite curbing, and a bus stop location.
The new road will match the current look of North Main and Main Streets.
