Miss Mum to be Crowned This Weekend

As part of the 2018 Mum Festival season of events, the Miss Mum Pageant will be held this weekend on Friday, September 14th.

“The Miss Mum Pageant is truly a celebration of the young ladies and future leaders in the greater Bristol area”, added Jack Ferraro, Mum Festival Chairman.

Contestants will be judged by local judges based on three on-stage appearances, and for Miss Mum on an essay submission.

The pageant is open to all Bristol, Forestville, Plainville, Plymouth, Terryville and Wolcott young ladies.

Once again there will be four divisions: Miss Mum (for high school students), Junior Miss Mum (for middle school students), Miss Mum Mini (for 3rd – 5th graders) and Petite Miss Mum (for Kindergarten through 2nd).

Miss Mum title holders participate in a variety of community events throughout the year including the Mum Festival itself, the Bristol Carol Sing, Bristol Holiday Parade, Bristol Home Sho), Duck Race, Memorial Day Parade, Bristol Blues Baseball, West End Summer Festival, Thanksgiving Food and Turkey Drive and Showcase of Stars in December.

The pageant will take place on Friday, September 14th, 7:00 p.m. at Chippens Hill Middle School.
