The American Clock & Watch Museum will host its second annual “Wine, Women & Watches” on Thursday, September 13th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Guests will enjoy this fun-filled party featuring seasonal wines and hearty hors d’oeuvres, as well as silent auction items, prize drawings, and other activities.
“Last year’s inaugural event was a great success, with over 100 guests joining us to raise over $10,000 for the museum,” states Patti Philippon, Executive Director. “We expect this year to be even better, especially thanks to the support of our new and returning sponsors.”
This year’s sponsors are The Barnes Group; Noble Wealth Advisors of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC; Bristol Hospital; Fiondella, Milone & LaSaracina LLP; Quinoco Energy Services; Briar Rose Networks – Victoria Rose Biondi, MD; Farmington Bank; and Roland Dumont Agency.
Back by popular demand is a scavenger hunt through the museum’s eight galleries. “People really enjoyed reading the clues and hunting for the special timepieces,” adds Kim Bondeson-Ciccarello, event co-chair. This year’s hunt will relate to the current exhibition: Scandals & Scoundrels: Tales from the Dark Side of the Clock & Watch Industries.
A sweet treat will be given to those completing the hunt. Door prize drawings will take place each hour.
“Our silent auction has many great prize packages this year,” states Deb Quilty, event co-chair. The auction will feature tickets to concerts and the theater, sporting events, wine tastings, family outings, items for the home and garden, and much more.
Tickets are $40, $35 for members, and can be purchased online at www.clockandwatchmuseum.org/events or by calling the museum at (860) 583-6070. Space is limited.
All proceeds support the collections, exhibitions, and education programs at the American Clock & Watch Museum, 100 Maple Street, Bristol.
