Large Milk Spill Closes Rt 9 in New Britain — No Crying Reported

You don’t have to cry over spilled milk, but you do need to clean it up when it closes a roadway.

A photo of the scene shared by New Britain Police Cheif Raul Ortiz on Twitter said “Tractor trailer rollover on Ellis st on ramp leading to route 9 just after 12:00pm. One individual was extricated an transported by NBems. On ramp will be closed for the time being. Companies are still on scene.”

Police and emergency workers responded to reports of a tractor trailer accident at the Ellis Street Exit 25 on ramp.

Officials say a tractor trailer carrying milk rolled over on Route 9 north in New Britain.

Containers of milk could be seen spilled in the grass near the on ramp.

Police said minor injuries were reported.
