Police Identify Body Found in Pequabuck River

Pequabuck River

Last Saturday Bristol officers responded to Memorial Boulevard at Mellen Street to investigate a report of a possible deceased male in the Pequabuck River.

Officers found a deceased male in the river. The male was recovered from the river and identified as 52-year-old Rodney Eldred of no certain address.

An autopsy was performed and the cause of death was determined to be drowning.

The results of a toxicology test are still pending and at this time Eldred’s death does not appear to be suspicious.

The investigation is ongoing.
