Tunxis Community College’s Civic Engagement Institute presented a $300 check to Bristol Mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu on March 5, following a talk she gave to students at the college on the importance of youth involvement in civic activity.
The donation will go to Mountain View School’s new playscape fund, to help replace old playground equipment in disrepair at the Bristol elementary school.
