Frankies to shut its doors — Moving to Plainville

A Bristol staple is leaving Town.

Jake Castico owner of Frankies in Bristol announced on social media “We will be closing on Sunday, October 15, 2017 as we relocate to our new building on 177 East St. Route 10 in Plainville. We would like to thank all of our customers who have supported us throughout the years.”

“Without your loyalty, we would have not been in business for the past 40 years. During the next few months, we will be completely renovating our new location in Plainville as we plan on opening early 2018.”

Earlier this year, Keen Engineering out of Boca Raton, Florida submitted an ambitious plan to demolish Frankies Restaurant and replace the prime Rt. 6 location with a new 7,612 sq. ft. retail/medical building housing GoHealth Urgent Care and Hartford Healthcare.

The proposal would also realign the parking lot entrance to match Shop Rite Plaza across the street.
