Team Bristol announced their 8th Annual Bristol Stomp Dance.

The event will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the Bristol Polish Club from 8pm to midnight.

“You are invited to join us for another evening of Fun, Food, Prizes, Dancing, and Nostalgia. As in the past, Bristol Stomp will feature a buffet, music and dancing to the oldies & goodies of the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s hosted by a live DJ.”

“Bristol Stomp” is a song written in 1961 by Kal Mann and Dave Appell. The song was written about teenagers in 1961 who were dancing a new step called “The Stomp” at dances. It refers to Bristol, but not Bristol Connecticut rather Pennsylvania, a blue-collar suburb of Philadelphia.
