Bristol Police: Man suffers life threatening injuries in motorcycle crash

On Saturday night, a serious motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle was reported on Divinity Street at its intersection of Tulip Street.

Emergency personnel responded and found the motorcycle operator suffering from life threatening injuries. Life Star was called to the scene and transported the operator to a nearby trauma hospital.

The Bristol Police Department’s Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team was called in to investigate the crash.

A preliminary investigation found that Gabriel Cruz-Salgado, age 21 of Bristol was operating a 2009 Kawasaki ER650-C motorcycle west on Divinity Street. Willian Benoit, age 45 of Bristol was operating a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country mini-van south on Tulip Street.

Benoit made a left turn onto Divinity Street, colliding with Cruz-Salgado. The crash remains under investigation.
