A brand spanking new Cumberland Farms opened last week in Bristol on Rt. 72 at Pine Street and Emmett Street.
Last year, Cumberland Farms announced the results of a double blind coffee taste test, revealing that half of Dunkin’ Donuts’ own coffee drinkers determined that Cumberland Farms coffee tasted just as good as Dunkin’ Donuts coffee.
At just 99 cents any size, Cumberland Farms says they offer a more cost effective alternative for the daily coffee drinker — even if you have to get out of your car to get it.
The new store has a coffee bar with hot, iced and specialty coffee beverages and a full food-service area where customers can order hot sandwiches, pizza, burgers and other fried foods.
Last year another new store opened on the Bristol/Southington line on Rt. 229.
Store officials say the long-time Forestville location will remain open pending its sales after the new concept store is open for a while.
Cumberland Farms has over 200 new locations up and running.
The family owned company says every one of their nearly 600 stores are already converted.
