Join your friends, family and neighbors for a day-long, statewide celebration on Saturday, June 10, 2017 of everything that makes Connecticut great — and Burlington too.

Attractions, museums, galleries and organizations in towns and cities all across Connecticut will be opening their doors and welcoming visitors with discounted or free admission, giveaways, special offers, hands-on activities for the kids and more.

Attractions in Burlington and surrounding towns include:

Burlington

Elton Tavern & Center Schoolhouse
Open from noon until 4 p.m. Visit with costumed interpreters in the Federal style tavern or try your hand at school lessons and games in the one room schoolhouse.

Harwinton

Harwinton Historical Society
Free admission from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. to the barn museum and 1840s schoolhouse.

Canton

Collinsville Canoe & Kayak 
From 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. visitors receive half off rentals.

Bristol

American Clock & Watch Museum
Free admission from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. In collaboration with other Bristol venues, this year “Museum Magic;” visitors can make clocks and watch crafts with the theme of “The Magic of Clockmaking.”

Barnes Nature Center
Free admission from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. In collaboration with other Bristol venues, this year “Museum Magic,” the Center’s “The Magic of Nature,” features nature activities including walks, crafts and live animals.

Bristol Historical Society
Free admission from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. In collaboration with other Bristol venues, this year “Museum Magic;” the “Magic of the Past,” where visitors travel through the time period from 1860 to 1960.

Imagine Nation, A Museum Early Learning Center
Free admission for the first 100 visitors (provided by the City of Bristol), from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. In collaboration with other Bristol venues, this year “Museum Magic,” the museum’s “The Magic of Light,” highlighting the magic of light, color and reflection.

Memorial Military Museum
Free admission from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Theme for the day, “Museum Magic: Magic of Time Travel;” with free donuts and coffee served from a World War I canteen with accompanying stories of Salvation Army “Donut Girls.” In addition, there will be children’s activities, drawing for prizes, scavenger hunt and more.

New England Carousel Museum
Free admission from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. In collaboration with other Bristol venues, this year “Museum Magic,” museum’s “Let the Magic Touch the Child in You,” with rides on the carousel, tours, crafts, and more.

Barkhamsted

Squires Tavern
Free admission from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m., offering refreshments and special history program.

Farmington

Hill-Stead Museum
Buy one admission ticket and get one free, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Stanley-Whitman House
Free admission from noon until 4 p.m., along with complimentary refreshments.

New Hartford

Susan Rood Studio
Open artist studio from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. with printmaking demonstrations and art exhibit.
