Visions For Vacancies: Former Stately Floors

Periodically, The Central Connecticut Post will feature a vacant commercial building and ask you to tell us what you think would be the best use for it.

Forget what zone it’s in, ignore setback regulations, dump lot coverage rules and all the other zoning jargon that puts most people to sleep. If you had your way, what would you like to see there?

What would be the best use for the community?

Today we are featuring 106 Riverside Avenue.

This river front property offers ample parking and is a designated Enterprise Zone.

The purpose of the zone is to attract redevelopment, renewed investment, job opportunities and is eligible for tax incentives.

So, what would you like to see there?

Tell us on our Facebook page.

Know of a vacant building we should highlight? Let us know!

How about a Dollar Store? No wait, how about a Dunkin Donuts? Or a CVS? Or maybe a restaurant that serves mediocre grinders and pizza?
