Bristol braces for more snow

BRISTOL — Many spent Sunday not just getting shrimp and dip for the Super Bowl. Another winter storm is approaching with many stocking up on ice melt and other supplies.

The storm is expected to drop a dangerous mix of heavy snow and ice during the Monday morning commute.

City facilities will have a delayed opening Monday morning. City Hall, Youth Services, Libraries and the Senior Center will all open at 10:00 AM.

An Emergency Parking Ban goes went into effect at midnight.

Mayor Ken Cockayne said “Bristol is ready. Our crews are rested from last storm and ready to take this storm on. We will have all crews out working to keep up with storm.”

Any snow related issues can be reported to Public Works at 860-584-7791.
