Police provide west end shooting details

Bristol Police issued a statement regarding the shooting that took place early Friday morning:

Police were dispatched to the West End area of Bristol after receiving reports of a male who had been shot during an altercation in the street at the corner of Divinity St. and Landry St.

After being shot, the 33 year old male victim, whose name is not being released at this time, went to the nearby West End Café, located at 8 Divinity St., seeking assistance. Café employees called 911.

The male had sustained multiple gunshots wounds and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

He is listed in stable condition. There is no suspect description at this time.
