BRISTOL — The DOT held an open house at the Bristol Library Thursday night for CTfastrak or as most people call it, ‘the busway’.
Over 100 showed up for information on planning trips, buying tickets and exploring new connections.
The new busway route is not slicing through Bristol but new bus routes are being added for Bristol to connect to it said Michael Sanders, Transit Administrator for the DOT.
Sanders said service will be ramped up to seven days a week and the estimated commute time will be 45 minutes from Bristol to Hartford.
“We are offering people alternatives” said Sanders.
On display at the open house was a new ticket vending machine and an online trip planner.
