Lockdown At Bristol Eastern High School

BEHSBRISTOL – On January 15, police received a report of a person with a handgun on King Street near Bristol Eastern High School. BPD officers responded and investigated . As a precaution, school officials initiated a lock down .

Shortly after, the lock down was lifted after it was determined there was no threat . No injuries were reported and t he incident is under investigation.

WFSB-3 reports  that the high school went on lockdown Wednesday afternoon after authorities learned Brianna Lee Kowalski of Bristol was armed and nearby.

She is being held on $100,000 bond on charges of possession of a weapon on school grounds, carrying a pistol without a permit, loitering on school grounds, breach of peace and carrying a dangerous weapon.
